Exterior Renovation: Dallas, TX Home Exterior

This home was built in the late 50's like many homes in Lake Highlands, Dallas. This means the home was built with orange brick and is just shy of 2000 sq. ft. Additionally, this home had some "pops" of color on the garage, shutters and door. While I can respect the symmetry in their paint job, the color scheme was bold and dated to say the least..

PROJECT SCOPE

Updated front patio and painted exterior

PROJECT CHALLENGES

The homeowner really wanted to lighten up the house in a timeless palette. The main elements dating the home were the metal railing and painted concrete. While we could've put a fresh coat of paint on the concrete, it would wear down in only a matter of years. So in this renovation we decided to cover the concrete with wood and add new railing to match. Talk about a charming front porch look!
